Wisconsin

Wisconsin was established in 1848. The state is home to many natural areas, including many lakes, rivers, and forests. Wisconsin also borders both Lake Superior and Lake Michigan. Besides its natural wonders, Wisconsin is known as America’s Dairyland and is known for its cheese. If you haven’t tried fresh cheese curds, be sure to pick some up the next time you are in the state.

Wisconsin is also home to many traditions. You can often find many locals at a restaurant on a Friday night enjoying a fish fry dinner or packed into a bar on a Sunday to watch the Packer game. While Wisconsin is full of small towns, there are also some amazing cities. Madison and Milwaukee are the two largest cities and are home to some of Wisconsin’s sports teams.

Door County

Door County is located on the peninsula of Wisconsin. Door County is often considered the Cape Cod of the Midwest, as many tourists frequent the peninsula. Surrounded by water on both sides, Door County is the perfect beach getaway destination. It’s home to numerous shipwrecks, lighthouses, and miles of shoreline. Whether you watch the boats in Sturgeon Bay or pick cherries at one of the many orchards, you are sure to find something the whole family will enjoy.
